How time flies

Hello everybody,

Well here we are again. A little over two months have passed by and we are settling into the, retired together, life. We had a wonderful time aboard Fine Line with Ann and Captain Clean and even though it was good to get home to see the kids, we both still miss the calm relaxing Bahamian way of life. If there was only a way to use a transporter like to one used by the Star Trek crew. Oh well, maybe in the future.

After returning we only had a few weeks to wait and the new addition to our family arrived. A sweet 8 pound bundle of joy named Hannah. Hannah and Madison's grandparents, Bill and Kath, came for a month visit to help out with the first tough weeks. They were sad to go back to England but Kevin and Michelle are trying to organize a family get together back east in October.

The Monday after Bill and Kath left I took over babysitting duties. So good so far. Yours truly is tired at the end of the day but Madison is a great helper, a smile is just around the corner from Hannah and Papa has been a good sport, holding Hannah when I am tied down with other necessities.

Joe decided that we needed new windows in the house and that the huge double paned window panels above the living room need to be taken down, cleaned and resealed. Thirteen window replacements later, not counting the window panels, he is almost done. I wonder what he will do next. Anybody need any phone work?????? Please!!!!!

Until next time.

The day is here

Well, as you can see, Joe made it. Madison and Joe's better half met him during his last work day and took a picture of him next to his van. He returned that van to the shop in the afternoon, signed his last papers and made his way to the Alcapulco Restaurant where he, co-workers and family, enjoyed a meal paid for by AT&T. Tomorrow it is of to the Bahamas. Hurray......

Two days pre Joe's retirement

Well, we're now counting hours as opposed to days or weeks. Wednesday is the day and Joe will have graduated to the title of retiree. He can't wait. He will have exactly 34 hours to acclimate and then we're off to the Bahamas to hang out with Lisa's sister, Ann and husband, Steve on their 44 foot catamaran. More to follow.
